Bio
I obtained the PhD in Electronic Engineering in 2018 from Queen Mary University of London (UK) under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Cavallaro, working on vision-based multi-agent navigation. Since 2018, I worked as a post-doc researcher in the Pattern Analysis and Computer Vision/Visual Geometry Modelling (PAVIS/VGM) research line led by Dr. Alessio Del Bue at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), working on topics related to active 3D vision through both research and industrial Projects. Currently I work as a researcher in the Deep Visual Learning (DVL) unit led by Prof. Elisa Ricci in Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) under a series of EU Projects. My recent research focuses on efficient adaptation and tuning-free exploitation of foundation models to address embodied vision in the image, video and 3D domains.
I have published more than 50 scientific papers on prestigious venues. I served as Area Chair for ICRA’24/25, CVPR’25, ECCV’24 and BMVC’25. I am Associated Editor in International Journal of Social Robotics. I co-organised the workshop on Social and Cognitive Interactions for Assistive Robotics (IROS’22), the workshop on Green Foundation Models (ECCV’24) and the to-be-held workshop on Human-aware Embodied AI (IROS’25).
